Playstation Mobile App

The Playstation App is a companion app that extends the social experience to mobile users. This is a concept redesign that improves the content architecture of navigation, social, and game updates.

01. Dashboard

01. Dashboard

The dashboard content was organized for clear and simple navigation. This is to keep users focused and familiar of their context.

02. Navigation

02. Navigation

All menu items (primary and secondary) can be found in the hamburger menu. This is to remove clutter on the dashboard and allow for more complex navigation if needed.

03. Social

03. Social

Chat-Peek allows for users to quickly see latest messages from friends, without having to move in and out of screens. This allows users to navigate more efficiently, without getting lost between screens.

04. What's New Grid

04. What's New Grid

Following a similar experience that's on the actual PS4 dashboard, users can scroll through content and find any relevant news, updates, or social updates. Cards are used to keep the content in a clean grid.

App Comparison

App Comparison

The current (left) app has no clear organization in navigation. There are a lot of competing elements on the top and bottom navigation which could confuse users. The redesigned (right) interface consolidates secondary actions into a hamburger menu while keeping the primary elements out in front.
